bisibat Members Who Joined Before October 1, 2009
Early in the month of October 2009, a catastrophic event at our
web hosting service caused a complete loss of data in both the
active and backup network hardware. Our provider was under
contract to provide the storage of 'live' data, and safe backup
as well. They failed to perform their duty, and are now out of
business.Not only was bisibat's storage compromised, but
funds that we paid for services in the future were wiped out
when our service provider went under..
Although things looked bleak, we decided to invest in a
resurrection of the bat. We strongly believe that a very low
cost, simple, fixed listing site is needed in the marketplace,
and that bisibat is up to the task to meet that need. Resources
have been committed for future hosting, additional off-site
backups, and the engineering expense to accomplish this. By
mid-October 2009, bisibat was back up and running. However, we
couldn’t restore many listings and user accounts.
We’d very much like for our members to sign up again. For a
limited time all listings at bisibat are free to everyone. But
in support of our initial members, and to repay you for the
inconvenience, we will provide life-time free listings at
bisibat when you sign back up. Any questions,
